*It appears that Imeem has now merged with MySpace (ugh) so all the playlist formats have changed. We are currently working on importing our previous playlists so you can start boppin’ to our tunes. Thanks for your patience 🙂

Here at Baked., music is a necessary component of life. It has the power to invoke every single emotion out of the listener. It moves us. It speaks to us. It wraps us up in delerium or happiness. Or sadness. In this section, Kailin’s current playlist will be featured and can be listened to at any time of the day. Treat this as an open forum; feel free to leave any comments or inquiries.

Baked Artist of the Month:

Seu Jorge is a Brazilian musician, creative singer-songwriter, and actor. Raised in a favela (“shanty town“) in the Baixada Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro state, Jorge’s work is explosive, often emoting pain and sorrow as well as hope and love. As a musician, he is considered a renewer of Brazilian pop samba by many fans and his performances are well known for bringing out a lot of excitement, getting the crowd to move along with him and his music. As an actor, he often portrays characters caught in Brazil’s systemic poverty and violence. The most notable films he’s appeared in include the critically acclaimed Brazilian film, City of God, and the witty American film directed by Wes Anderson, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, for which he provided much of the soundtrack in the form of Portuguese language cover versions of David Bowie classics.
